National vaccination schedule of Russia (since 2002)

Notes

  1. Both local and imported vaccines appropriately licensed are eligible for use within the frameworks of National vaccination schedule.
  2. Children born by HBsAg-positive mothers, and by mothers infected with HepB in the 3rd trimester are immunized according the 0-1-2-12 months base schedule.
  3. Vaccination against HepB at the age of 13 is necessary to all who haven't received immunization prior to this age using 0-1-6 months schedule.
  4. Girls of 13 years of age not immunized before, or vaccinated only once receive one vaccine shot against rubella.
  5. Revaccination against tuberculosis is provided to those non-infected, based on the results of PPD skin-testing (Mantoux).
  6. Revaccination against tuberculosis at the age of 14 years is indicated to non-infected, and those who didn't receive booster at the age of 7 years.
  7. All vaccines of NVS (except BCG) migth be injected simultaneously, at different injection sites or with 1-month interval.
  8. In case of lapsed immunizations individual vaccination should be based on the schemes implied into NVS, and be coherent to the official vaccine leaflets.

Additional notes

Immunization within the frameworks of the National vacination schedule is provided free of charge, at the public polyclinics, mostly with locally produced vaccines.

The vast majority of imported vaccines are available on commercial basis. The right to choose the service (commercial or free of charge) is guaranteed by the Federal Law "On immuno-prevention of infectious diseases"

Immunization in view of epidemic rise is provided free of charge.

All vaccines are subject to licensing process by the local authorities (Tarassevich Institute for the Control of Immunobiologicals). Each production lot of vaccines should have compliance certificate.

The State guaranties the social protection measures in case of complications caused by any immunization.
